Privacy Policy

BACKGROUND – The collection and use of data is regulated by the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regula- tion (EU2016/679) (the “GDPR”). Magnum Materials Ltd (the Compa- ny) collects, stores and manages certain categories of information from its customers. This privacy policy sets out how we use and protect any information you give to us, effective from 25/05/2018.

WHAT WE COLLECT – We may collect, store and process the follow- ing information:
Business Name & relevant employees names, Type of Business, Postal address, Email address, Telephone Numbers and Bank Account details. Financial transactions and orders between the customer and the Company.

WHY WE COLLECT IT – We collect information of this kind from the customers of the Company solely for the purposes of providing the service and support which customers of the Company are entitled to receive.

We consider that the provision of such data is a contractual require- ment of customers of the Company and that processing such data is necessary for the proper performance of the mutual obligations subsisting between the Company and its customers.

WHAT WE DO WITH THE INFORMATION WE GATHER – We use information of this kind for administrative purposes and in order properly and effectively to fulfil our obligations to our customers. As part of our service to customers, we will from time to time try to keep you informed and up-to-date about our business by e-mail, newsletter, telephone or social media We may also seek to contact you for market research purposes to improve our products and services for the benefit of the Company and its members. If you do not wish to receive material of this kind, please inform us. All you need to do is email info@magnum-uk.com and notify us of your contact preferences.

WHO HAS ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION – The routine processing of customers’ data is carried out internally by authorised staff. The Company also retains the services of certain outside agencies to process some personal information on its behalf for certain specific purposes, e.g. external carriers to deliver our high-quality products to your door. We will continue to make sure that any outside processors will hold customers’ data securely and will not attempt to use it for any other purpose.

ACCURACY – We will try to ensure that the personal data which we hold is always accurate and up-to-date. Please let us know if your details change so that we can continue to stay in touch.

 

PRIVACY & CONFIDENTIALITY – All personal information held by the Company is treated as private and confidential. We are commit- ted to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy. We will never sell your details to a third party. Your privacy is of the highest importance to us, and we will never release your personal details to any third party (save for the purposes of external data processing, as explained above). We do not transfer your information to International third parties.

SECURITY – All such information is held securely by the Company which endeavours to comply at all times with the requirements of the GDPR and any other applicable data protection legislation. We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect from you. We maintain adequate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

ACCESS AND CORRECTION RIGHTS – Each customer has the right to request access to any of their data which is held by the Company, to obtain certain information in relation to it, to request the rectification of any inaccuracies and, in some circumstances, to seek its erasure or to restrict to its use. For security reasons, we reserve the right to take steps to authenticate your identity before provid- ing access to your personal information.

RETENTION OF DATA – Data will be retained so long as you remain a customer of the Company. If you cease to be a customer, we will retain records of any financial transactions between you and the Company for a maximum of seven years in case of any future dispute. We may also wish to retain some personal data in order to contact you for marketing purposes, in which case we will ask you for your explicit consent; and we may also wish to retain some such data for the historical record.
